Merchant Marine Co. Of Sinokor, Ltd. Korea-China
Sinokor Merchant Marine Co., Ltd. started its Korea-China container liner service in 1989, three years before Korea and China established official diplomatic ties. This service boosted trade and played a key role in strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
In the same year, “Sinokor Company Ltd” was officially registered in Hong Kong. The company launched its direct container route between Korea and China, approved by both governments. The first vessel, “M/V MELISA,” sailed this route, followed by “M/V MACAU VENTURE” and “M/V MILD SPLENDOUR.”
Sinokor introduced innovative services, including a direct route connecting Korea’s Ulsan and Gwangyang ports to China in 1998. By 2001, Sinokor opened the Pyeongtaek-China container service, leading logistics innovation along the West Coast.
